"Timeless... big guitar groove outfit"
Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 6.
"A hypnotic and kaleidoscopic onslaught of groove and guitars”
Gigslutz
Following on from their recent success on their debut album ‘The Sun Also Rises’ The
Utopiates are out to prove they are one of the most prolific new bands out there at the minute. They’re back in
the studio to make album two and are very excited to release new single "Neighbourhood".
The Utopiates signed to V2 last year and were dubbed the band to watch by cult indie promoter This Feeling. A
sold-out summer tour followed, and they finished the year completing work on their debut album "The Sun Also
Rises" at The Nave in Leeds.
The Utopiates were formed under the dark clouds of the pandemic and only launched in January 2021 but already
the accolades are stacking up from the likes of Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 6 Music) & John Kennedy (Radio X).
